The Ministry introduces youth and young adults ages 5 to 22 years old to a general perspective of the elements of drama productions, and awareness of humanity’s great theatrical heritage. Participants acquire theatrical experience in plays with real world life messages. This ministry provides opportunity for participants to identify drama as a soul winning tool for Christ.
The ministry is designed to assist participants ages 8-22 in finding their voice as writers. Students will be exposed to various genres, and learn to produce creative work. Facilitators will lecture on poetry writing, creative short fiction and essay writings. Subsequent to lectures, students will write and present from their work with feedback from instructors and class.
The Competition will consist of two days of instruction and training for new beginners and advanced participants aged 8 to 22 years old. Participants will be able to learn how to play the game of Chess, improve on skills already learned, and develop tactics for the advanced player. There will be a single elimination tournament with awards on the final day.
Males ages 12 and older are encouraged and mentored to enhance their image, attitude, work ethics, leadership skills, money management, knowledge, people skills, goal setting, and problem solving abilities. Men who serve as mentors for the participants must be 21 years and older, and must exemplify the morality, character, and integrity of a COGIC gentleman.
Females ages 12-22 years old are mentored to develop and enhance their self-awareness and self-appreciation attributes. The participants are encouraged to consider (1) their roles and responsibilities,(2) the application of scriptures in the development of life skills and personal growth and maturity (both spiritually and morally), and (3) providing a dimension of caring and sharing within the nurturing environment of the church. Twenty-one years and older mentors, who exemplify tenacity, character, integrity, and grace are sought to serve as facilitators. Vision boards and other activities are conducted in the workshops.
In a world that is increasingly digital, equipping young people with practical and creative technology skills is more essential than ever. This hands-on, interactive computer workshop is designed specifically for youth ages 12 to 18 and offers a dynamic introduction to the tools and platforms shaping our modern world. Whether students are preparing for school projects, future careers, or ministry work, this workshop provides a strong foundation in essential digital skills. Our sessions cover three major areas which include Microsoft Office essentials, video editing & digital storytelling, and social media smarts.
The competition gives 5-22 year-old participants the opportunity to express their skills in communication, ability to think reflectively, and demonstrate a willingness to cooperate as a team member. It promotes genuine and systematic Bible study, and an awareness of COGIC history and doctrine.
Youth ages 7 to 17 years old will be introduced to terminology, principles, disciplines, and professional consultation that will formulate an understanding in money matters. Participants will also be introduced to The Wall Street game, and exploration of the fundamentals of investing in stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. A Holy Millionaire luncheon will be held on Friday morning, July 10th for all Holy Millionaire participants.
Youth in 3rd through 12th grade will develop an appreciation for the role that mathematics plays in their everyday life experiences. The ministry reveals mathematics as the foundation of scientific technology. Students will also develop and enhance their mathematical skills through competitive exercises.
The competition develops oratory skills in participants ages 8 - 22 years old. Participants are introduced to speech formats that will equip them to present subject matter that will powerfully impact the emotions of the attendees, and develop language awareness skills that focus on diction, grammar, and articulation. Participants will also develop skills on delivery and stage presence, which will include dress and appearance.
The ministry provides hands-on experience for youth ages 6-18 years old. Youth are exposed to physics, mechanics, electronics, programming, and vocabulary building. Since Robotics has its foundation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), each team will build and program a robot that will complete a series of maneuvers as instructed by the facilitator. The students' robots will be judged for performance, mechanic design, strategy and innovation, and programming.
Youth in grades 1st-12th enhance their spelling abilities by spelling a broad selection of words, usually with a varying degree of difficulty. The spelling Bee expands their vocabulary to include new and challenging words. The impact of the Spelling Bee on our youth extends to their everyday lives, which includes enhancement of their education at school.

The ministry teaches youth ages 5-19 years old discipline, teamwork, creativity, and controlled performance and skills. Time management is also emphasized in this ministry, because a complete comprehensive performance must be executed within a 5-minute time period. Students are also taught the importance of applying creativity in performance, dress and the proper use of props. The youth are also introduced to life skills that can be applied in their everyday lives.
All children and youth will participate in three days of rehearsal and various musical events. The participants will enhance their singing ability and perform new songs that can be shared with their local district and jurisdictions. The choir rehearsal also provides a means of enhancing communication, networking and fellowship among the choir members.
Talent Hour provides a platform for youth and young adults ages 5 - 22 years old to enhance and boost their self-esteem and confidence. The participants will showcase their talent via singing, dancing, acrobatics, acting, drumming, martial arts, playing instruments, step and drill performances, and many other activities. This ministry provides opportunities for participants to identify their talents as soul winning tools for Christ.
